About Gibsonville

Gibsonville is a town straddling Alamance and Guilford counties in North Carolina, situated in the Piedmont region between Greensboro and Burlington. Named in honor of Joseph Gibson, a local planter who helped construct the North Carolina Railroad in 1851, the community of approximately 9,500 grew as a railroad shipping hub. The town is closely connected to the neighboring town of Elon and is served by Guilford County Schools.
