Glacier View, AK

Glacier View is a small census-designated place in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough, counted as part of the Anchorage metropolitan area but far more rural in feel. It sits on the north side of the Matanuska River valley, between Chickaloon and Eureka Roadhouse. The name fits the setting: mountains, river valley, and road-access Alaska define the place more than a compact town center. Glacier View is tiny, scenic, and strongly shaped by its position along the Glenn Highway corridor.
