About Gladewater

Gladewater is a city situated in Gregg and Upshur counties in northeast Texas. Formerly an oil boom town and officially proclaimed the Antique Capital of East Texas by the legislature in 1995 due to its many antique shops, the community of approximately 6,227 is served primarily by the Gladewater Independent School District for public education.
