Glasgow, OR

Glasgow is a quiet community along the north shore of Coos Bay, located just across the landmark McCullough Bridge from North Bend. With around 800 residents, it offers a relaxed setting right off Highway 101. While the area got its start in the late 1800s, it really took shape once ferries and the bridge made traveling across the bay simple, turning the north shore into an easy place to settle down.

Today, Glasgow functions as a peaceful residential neighborhood with a few classic local fixtures, including a Grange hall, a volunteer fire station, and a small corner grocery with a gas pump. Most residents make the short trip across the bridge to North Bend and Coos Bay for shopping, restaurants, and schools, making it an appealing option if you want scenic water views and a calmer pace without being far from town.
