Glasgow Village, MO

Glasgow Village is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in north St. Louis County, near the Mississippi River and the Chain of Rocks crossings. The 2020 census counted 4,584 residents. Most of its streets were laid out as a postwar subdivision in the early 1950s, so the neighborhood reads as a planned band of homes rather than a courthouse-centered town. Riverview Gardens School District serves most of the CDP, and I-270 carries the larger regional traffic just north of the neighborhood. The river is still the detail that keeps the whole map oriented.

The old Chain of Rocks Bridge is the memorable nearby landmark, a 1929 Route 66 crossing with a sharp turn over the Mississippi that reopened to bikes and pedestrians in 1999. North Riverfront Park and its 10.8-mile trail connect the St. Louis riverfront to the bridge, while the newer I-270 crossing handles vehicles.
