Spanish Lake, MO

Spanish Lake is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in the northeastern portion of St. Louis County, Missouri. Originally called Spanish Pond and renamed for the Spanish troops who constructed a fortified post in the area in 1768, the community of approximately 17,900 is bounded by the Mississippi River to the east and the Missouri River to the north. Public education is administered by the Riverview Gardens School District.
