Glidden, WI

Glidden sits along Highway 13 in northern Wisconsin, right at the edge of the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest and about forty miles south of Lake Superior. Best known as the Black Bear Capital of the World, it is a quiet Northwoods community with deep roots in outdoor recreation and local tradition. Community life largely revolves around historic Marion Park, where generations have gathered for the annual summer fair, dances in the 1938 pavilion, and baseball games across the street at Matt Hart Athletic Field.
