Gluckstadt, MS

Gluckstadt is a fast-growing community in Madison County, located along Interstate 55 just north of Madison. First settled in 1905 by German Catholic families who named it "Lucky Town," it officially incorporated as one of Mississippi's newest cities in 2021. With roughly 3,200 residents, Gluckstadt offers a relaxed, small-town feel while keeping commuters within an easy drive of Jackson along I-55 and Highway 51.

Families moving here are often drawn to the highly regarded Madison County School District, particularly the Germantown and Mannsdale schools. The town maintains a close connection to its heritage through St. Joseph Catholic Church and its popular annual GermanFest celebration. New subdivisions and shopping centers continue to pop up across town, but Gluckstadt still holds onto plenty of scenic, open countryside.
