About Goshen

Goshen is a Utah County town founded in 1857 by a colony of Mormon pioneers and named after Goshen, Connecticut. It is part of the Provo-Orem metro area, but the town's story stays distinctly local: pioneer settlement, big seasonal temperature swings, and two movie scenes filmed here in 1998. The films were Bats and Made Men, an unlikely bit of Hollywood trivia for a small Utah town. Goshen is Utah in a pioneer-and-film-set shape.
