About Granbury

Granbury is the county seat of Hood County, southwest of Fort Worth along U.S. Route 377. It began around a courthouse square and log cabin courthouse, and that square still gives the city a recognizable historic center. Modern Granbury also leans into Lake Granbury, created by a Brazos River dam, which adds boating, waterfront neighborhoods, and weekend visitors to the mix. Granbury feels like a North Texas courthouse town that became a lake getaway without losing its old-town core.
