About Grayson

Grayson is a village in Clinton County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. The 2020 census counted 61 residents. The community is on US Route 169 four miles north of Trimble and approximately six miles west-southwest of Plattsburg. Grayson was platted in 1871, and named after the maiden name of the wife of the original owner of the town site. That mix gives Grayson a clear local shape within Missouri, with older layers still visible in current places. The local scoop is a place whose streets, landmarks, and institutions keep its earlier story close to the present. A variant name was Graysonville.
