About Green Bluff

Green Bluff is an unincorporated Spokane County farming community on a bluff that rises above the Peone and Valley prairies. The name comes straight from the landform, whose green grass around evergreen trees gave the place its early description. The local map includes a grange hall, church, fire station, general store, small farms, and equestrian properties. Orchard harvests now shape the calendar, with growers holding festivals around berries, cherries, peaches, apples, and pumpkins. An intermittent stream cuts through the bluff, and Day-Mount Spokane Road follows it into the community. Green Bluff is a Spokane-area farm district where the cliff, the fruit seasons, and a handful of old community buildings tell the story.
