Green Valley is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in southern Frederick County, Maryland, near the Montgomery County line. With more than twelve thousand residents, it sits in the rural-suburban edge between Frederick County's open land and the larger Washington-area orbit. The place is not built around a famous downtown, but its appeal is easy to understand: Maryland countryside, commuter access, and a quieter residential setting outside the busier suburbs.
