Greenwood, DE

Greenwood is a Sussex County town at the meeting of Routes 13 and 16, with 990 residents in the 2020 census. The crossroads puts it between the farm communities of western Sussex and the Salisbury area just across the Maryland line. The town’s older layer is the Richards Historic District, listed on the National Register in 1983, while Woodbridge High and the wider Woodbridge School District keep school life tied to town. Greenwood also owns a Delaware weather fact: near town, a 28-inch snow depth was measured after the February 2010 blizzard, the state record.
