Grover, WY

Grover is a Lincoln County census-designated place in Wyoming's Star Valley, a grassland valley surrounded by forested mountains. The 2020 census counted 481 residents. The first settlement appeared in 1885, and a post office has carried the Grover name since 1889. That long continuity gives the place a clear local center even though Grover has no incorporated town government. The valley setting remains the first thing you notice on the approach from the county road. Lincoln County School District No. 2 handles public education, and the Grover Post Office remains a practical daily stop.

The Star Valley Historical Society preserves the town's early school story and the University of Wyoming's former experimental farm, which occupied 40 acres in Grover. Highways and county roads connect the community to Afton and the rest of the valley, while the mountain walls keep the setting legible.
