Guadalupe, AZ

Tucked between Phoenix and Tempe near the base of South Mountain, Guadalupe is a small, close-knit town with a strong personality. Covering less than a single square mile with around 5,000 residents, the community was founded around the turn of the twentieth century by Yaqui families. Even as the surrounding metro area has grown rapidly, Guadalupe has held onto its heritage. With Interstate 10 along the western border and Baseline Road to the north, residents enjoy an easy commute to major employment hubs across the Valley.

Students here attend schools in the neighboring Tempe and Kyrene districts. Walking through town, you will find quiet residential streets, traditional plazas, and family-owned panaderías and restaurants serving authentic Mexican and Yaqui food. It gives residents a small-town atmosphere and deep cultural roots, all while keeping them minutes away from South Mountain trails, Arizona State University, and the rest of the East Valley.
