About Gunnison

Gunnison is a city in the Sevier Valley region of Sanpete County, Utah. Named to honor nineteenth-century railroad surveyor Captain John W. Gunnison and recovering from a major municipal gasoline storage leak in 2007, the community of approximately 3,562 is served by the South Sanpete School District, which operates Gunnison Valley High School locally.
