Lake Eva Community Park concentrates much of Haines City's public recreation on nearly 29 acres. Two miles of concrete paths circle facilities that include a fishing pier and boat ramp, playgrounds, sports courts, exercise stations, pavilions, a bandshell, aquatics facilities, and buildings used for arts, theater, fitness, and events. The city's recreation network also operates the Oakland Neighborhood Center and a youth enrichment center with weekday and Saturday hours. Haines City Public Library adds computers for benefit applications, voter registration, digital research tools, and Polk County Library Cooperative borrowing. Its 2026 calendar included bilingual family story time, baby and preschool programs, teen game nights, a writers group, needlework sessions with sewing machines, and other recurring activities.
