About Halesite
Halesite is a hamlet and census-designated place in the town of Huntington on the North Shore of Long Island, New York. Named in honor of Revolutionary War captain and spy Nathan Hale, who arrived at Huntington Harbor prior to his capture and execution, the community of approximately 2,661 features a rock monument commemorating his mission. The hamlet contains the East Shore Road Historic District and is served by the Huntington Union Free School District.
