Handley, WV

Set along the south bank of the Kanawha River, Handley is a quiet small town in West Virginia's Upper Kanawha Valley. The community grew in the late 1800s around local coal mines and Chesapeake and Ohio rail yards, and you can still see that working-class heritage in the way the town is laid out. Tucked between Route 61, the water, and steep wooded hills, it offers a peaceful riverfront setting with quick access to the rest of the valley.
