Happy, TX

Known as "The Town Without a Frown," Happy got its cheerful name from 19th-century cowboys who were relieved to find fresh water at a local spring called Happy Draw. The community shifted a couple of miles west when the Santa Fe Railroad arrived in the early 1900s, quickly growing into a classic Texas Panhandle farming settlement. Today, it retains that quiet, welcoming charm, with wide-open plains and agricultural roots that still shape daily life.

Straddling the line between Swisher and Randall counties right off U.S. Highway 87, Happy offers a peaceful rural setting with an easy drive north to Canyon and Amarillo.
