Harahan, LA

Harahan is a city in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, serving as a residential suburb of New Orleans along the Mississippi River. Formerly a agricultural plantation and dairy farming area, the community of approximately 8,900 is zoned to public campuses including the local Harahan School. The city is served by the Harahan Library, and was historically the home of the Colonial Golf and Country Club, which hosted the 1954 New Orleans Women's Open.
