Haskell, OK

Located in Muskogee County along US 64, Haskell offers a quiet, small-town atmosphere about forty minutes southeast of Tulsa and twenty minutes northwest of Muskogee. Named after Oklahoma’s first governor, Charles N. Haskell, the town grew in the early 1900s alongside the railroad, building on the roots of the Muscogee Creek community of Sawokla. Today, that history gives the area a grounded, close-knit feel with plenty of open space.

For outdoor recreation, locals head a few miles northwest to Haskell Lake for fishing, boating, and relaxed weekends by the water, while Haskell City Park provides green space right in town. Commuting or running errands is straightforward thanks to US 64, giving residents an easy path toward Bixby and the greater Tulsa metro while letting them enjoy a peaceful, slower pace at home.
