About Hawley

Hawley is a city in Clay County, Minnesota, situated along the Buffalo River just twenty-three miles east of the Fargo-Moorhead area. Named in 1872 for railroad officer Thomas Hawley Canfield and famous as the construction site of the Viking ship Hjemkomst, the community of approximately 2,178 is served by the Hawley School District.
