Hayden, AZ
Hayden is a small mining town straddling Gila and Pinal counties in Arizona, situated adjacent to Winkelman along the Gila River. Founded in 1909 and originally owned by Kennecott Copper Corporation, the community of approximately 500 residents remains economically tied to the Asarco Hayden Smelter, one of the last operating copper smelters in the region.
