Hazel, KY

Sitting right along the Tennessee state line in southern Calloway County, Hazel is a quiet, historic community on U.S. 641 between Murray, Kentucky, and Paris, Tennessee. The town got its start in 1890 as a depot along the Nashville, Chattanooga and St. Louis Railway. More than a century later, the original brick storefronts along Main Street still give the community a preserved, walkable feel.

Today, Hazel has carved out a reputation across the region as a destination for antique lovers. Main Street is packed with sprawling vintage shops, antique malls, and small local diners that bring steady weekend visitors into its historic district. Every October, the community gathers for Hazel Day, an annual fall festival featuring local food, crafts, and a parade. It is a slow-paced, friendly spot that offers genuine small-town charm just a ten-minute drive south of Murray.
