Hebron, PA

Hebron is a census-designated place along the northern edge of South Lebanon Township, set against Lebanon city on its north and west sides and east of Avon. Its land drains toward Quittapahilla Creek, which runs through the Lebanon Valley before joining Swatara Creek. That watershed is a useful way to picture Hebron: the CDP is part of a larger township landscape, with the creek network running beyond the local boundary. The Lebanon County Prison is also within the CDP, a facility tied directly to the Hebron name.

Hebron Hose Company No. 1 supplies a more everyday marker. The volunteer company was chartered in 1905 and is South Lebanon Township’s oldest volunteer fire company. Quittapahilla watershed work reaches into the township through stream-restoration and stormwater projects, giving local environmental work a countywide connection.
