Hebron, TX

Hebron is a Denton County town with a small disconnected piece in Collin County, tucked into the north Dallas-Fort Worth landscape. Its older center began in the 1890s under the name Shepton, on land donated by Blackland Townsite Company, a subsidiary of the St. Louis and San Francisco Railroad. The town's first shape came from two railroads meeting near what is now East Hebron Parkway and First Street; its former boundaries once ran from the Collin County line to the Trinity River and north toward State Highway 121.

Today the name is most visible through the surrounding school and road network. Lewisville Independent School District serves Hebron, while Hebron High School sits in nearby Carrollton. Large suburbs and commercial corridors have grown around the old town, but the historic pattern still matters: a small rail settlement inside a much larger metropolitan map, with Denton County on one side, Collin County close by, and the Trinity River marking the western reach of its earlier town limits.
