About Hermitage

Hermitage is a city in western Mercer County, Pennsylvania, situated near the Ohio state line northeast of Youngstown. Settled in 1796 and incorporated as a first-class city, the community of approximately 16,000 is the third-largest city in Pennsylvania by land area. The town is home to the Avenue of Flags war memorial and lies adjacent to the Shenango River Lake recreation area, with public schools administered by the Hermitage School District.
