Hiawatha is a city in Linn County, Iowa, operating as a northern suburb of Cedar Rapids. Founded in 1950 following a petition by entrepreneur Fay Clark and other early residents, the community of approximately 7,206 features the Boyson Road trailhead for the Cedar Valley Nature Trail. Public education is served by the Cedar Rapids Community School District.
