Highgate Center, VT

Highgate Center is the primary village in the Town of Highgate, Franklin County, on the north side of the Missisquoi River where the water passes over Highgate Falls. Vermont Routes 78 and 207 meet the village’s regional road network, leading toward Swanton, St. Albans, Sheldon Junction, and the Canadian border at Morses Line. The river links the village to Lake Champlain, while the falls and surrounding lowlands give the town a clear physical setting.
