About Highland Haven

Highland Haven is a lakeside city in southwestern Burnet County, sitting on the eastern shore of Lake LBJ in the Texas Hill Country. It began as a private subdivision in the 1960s and 1970s, then developed into an incorporated city serving a mix of full-time residents and weekend lake users. FM 1431 is the main way in, with Marble Falls about seven miles east. City Hall, a community center, six parks around the lake, and Dove Park’s boat launch give Highland Haven a more civic shape than its vacation-community beginnings might suggest.
