Lago Vista, TX

Lago Vista is a lakeside city on the north shore of Lake Travis, northwest of Austin. The Colorado River and Highland Lakes landscape shape the setting, with hills, coves, marinas, and long views doing much of the town's work. Lago Vista has grown quickly as more people have moved into Travis County's outer lake communities. Local events such as the Balcones Songbird Festival hint at the surrounding Hill Country ecology. It feels like a residential lake town with Austin close enough to matter.
