Hobart is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in central King County, southeast of Renton and near the Cedar River. It sits close to Taylor Mountain and the rural-forest edge of the Seattle metro, giving it a quieter, more wooded character than nearby suburban centers. Hobart is bordered by places such as Mirrormont and East Renton Highlands, but it feels more country than city.
