Hohenwald is a city and the county seat of Lewis County, Tennessee, situated on the Natchez Trace. Founded in 1878 and merging with a nineteenth-century Swiss immigrant colony, the community of approximately 3,884 is located near the Meriwether Lewis monument and is served by the Lewis County School District locally.
