About Holland

Holland is a Faulkner County city in central Arkansas, just east of the county’s center and shaped on its northern, eastern, and southern sides by Holland Hill. The 2020 census counted 586 residents. Most of the city lies in Greenbrier School District, while smaller pieces extend into Mount Vernon–Enola School District and Conway Public Schools. That pattern gives Holland a local map organized through neighboring school communities as much as through city limits. The hill gives the city its profile.

The low ridge forms a rough semicircle around town, leaving the built-up area open toward the surrounding farm roads. Central Arkansas is the larger regional frame, but Holland’s day-to-day geography is compact: a small city, a prominent hill, and school routes that run outward in several directions. The ridge also keeps the town visually distinct from the flatter fields around it. Holland is a place where a modest population and a very legible piece of terrain do most of the orienting.
