Holly Springs is a city and the county seat of Marshall County, Mississippi, situated near the Tennessee border. Founded in 1836 on ceded Chickasaw territory and developing into a nineteenth-century cotton plantation center, the historic community of approximately 6,704 is home to Rust College and is served by the Holly Springs School District locally.
