Homer is a village in Dakota County, Nebraska, with 532 people at the 2020 census. It was platted in 1874 and named for the Greek poet Homer. The village sits inside the Sioux City, Iowa-Nebraska-South Dakota metropolitan area, while Omaha Creek runs north-south along its eastern edge.
