About Horizon City

Horizon City is an El Paso County city east of El Paso, incorporated by referendum in 1988. Its name comes from the real-estate development corporation that built the area, and that planned-growth origin still fits the feel of the place. Horizon City is served by the Clint and Socorro independent school districts, with neighborhoods spreading across desert land near the Rio Grande Valley's eastern edge.
