Houma, LA

Houma is a Terrebonne Parish city in south Louisiana, deeply tied to bayous, wetlands, Cajun culture, and the energy industry. The area was home to Chitimacha and Houma people before European colonization, and the city takes its name from the Houma. Today Houma serves as a regional center for schools, healthcare, seafood, oilfield services, and life down the bayou.
