About Hudson
Hudson is a city and the county seat of Columbia County, New York, situated on the east bank of the Hudson River at the head of navigation. First settled by the Mahican people and later established by Dutch colonists as Claverack Landing, the community of approximately 5,865 developed as a active port and is now known for its antique shops and historic architecture. The city is home to the FASNY Museum of Firefighting.
