Hyde Park, VT

Hyde Park is a small, scenic village along the Lamoille River in north-central Vermont. Serving as the county seat, it features a walkable center with Main Street, the Lanpher Memorial Library, and the county courthouse. Much of downtown was rebuilt after a fire in 1910, giving the village its classic brick architecture and historic charm. It is a quiet, welcoming community with traditional New England homes, regular productions by the Lamoille County Players at the Opera House, and an easygoing pace of life.

Outdoor recreation is a huge part of life here. The Lamoille Valley Rail Trail runs right through the village, making it easy to step outside for a bike ride, morning jog, or winter snowmobile trip. The river is great for summer kayaking and fishing, and top ski spots like Stowe and Smugglers' Notch are only a short drive away. Plus, with everyday groceries and restaurants just next door in Morrisville, Hyde Park offers a quiet rural setting without feeling disconnected.
