About Imlay City

Imlay City is a city in Lapeer County, Michigan, situated within the Thumb region of the state at the intersection of M-53 and Interstate 69. Organized in 1850 and named for Connecticut businessman William H. Imlay, the community of approximately 3,721 historically hosted the first Vlasic Pickles plant and is served by the Imlay City Community Schools district locally today.
