Indian Lake, MO

Indian Lake is a Crawford County CDP wrapped around a reservoir of the same name, formed on Brush Creek in the county’s northwest corner. Cuba and Interstate 44 are about five miles southeast, but the place’s orientation is toward the water and the Bourbeuse River system rather than the interstate. Indian Lake first appeared as a CDP before the 2020 census, giving a formal map label to a lake community that had already taken its name from the reservoir. It’s Missouri lake country in a compact, water-first shape.
