About Inverness

Inverness is a northwest suburban village in Cook County, with boundaries roughly defined by Barrington, Roselle, Algonquin, and Dundee roads. The area was first settled in 1836 by George Ela and was once known as Deer Grove. Public schools are split among Barrington District 220, District 15, and Township High School District 211, and Holy Family Catholic Academy is also located here. Inverness feels spacious and residential, with larger lots, residential roads, and a country-suburban character.
