About Ironton

Ironton is a city and the county seat of Lawrence County, Ohio, situated along the Ohio River in southernmost Ohio. Historic as a nineteenth-century iron-producing giant and home to the early professional football team the Ironton Tanks, the community of approximately 10,768 is served by the Ironton City School District for public education.
