Island Lake, IL

Island Lake is a village in Lake and McHenry counties, Illinois, situated as a northwestern suburb of Chicago. Incorporated in 1952, the community of approximately 8,014 surrounds its namesake lake, which features a small island at its center. Public education for local school-age residents is administered by the Wauconda Community Unit School District 118.
