Iyanbito is a quiet community on the Navajo Nation, located about 16 miles east of Gallup in McKinley County. Set against scenic sandstone mesas, it offers a peaceful rural setting with straightforward access to town. The Iyanbito Chapter House serves as the central gathering place for community meetings and tribal services. For education, local students are part of the Gallup-McKinley County school district, attending elementary classes in neighboring Church Rock before moving on to middle and high school in Gallup.
