About Jacksboro

Jacksboro is a town and the county seat of Campbell County, Tennessee, situated in Powell Valley near the base of Cumberland Mountain. Founded in 1806 on land deeded by pioneer Hugh Montgomery and located adjacent to Cove Lake State Park, the community of approximately 2,650 at the 2020 census is served by the Campbell County School District.
