Jarrell, TX

Jarrell sits in northern Williamson County along Interstate 35, roughly fifteen minutes north of Georgetown and about forty miles from downtown Austin. Originally founded in the early 1900s around a new rail line, the community spent decades as a quiet farming town surrounded by open prairie. Today, it is experiencing a major building boom as homebuyers look for affordable housing and larger lots outside the immediate Austin area. With direct highway access, residents can easily commute south toward Round Rock or north toward Temple and Belton.

Despite the influx of new subdivisions, the town still feels close-knit and friendly. The Jarrell Independent School District has been steadily expanding, adding new campuses and athletic facilities to keep up with enrollment. Locals gather at the Memorial Park Community Center and neighborhood parks, and a strong sense of community pride remains a defining feature of the town, shaped in part by its resilience after the tragic 1997 tornado. Daily life here is peaceful and relaxed, offering a quiet place to settle down while keeping big-box stores, restaurants, and hospitals within a short drive.
